Jesus: Reincarnation and the Resurrection

Speaking to someone alive at the time of Jesus, a man named Suddi who was a great teacher in his own right, was an amazing experience. Suddi revealed intricate details about how the Essene community lived in Qumran, and how Jesus studied there.

Suddi also described difficult details about the crucifixion of Jesus. Many people are interested in such stories, but I find dwelling on them takes away from his message.

One departure from Christian doctrine I discovered that I think is important is the concept of personal responsibility. During my regressions with Katie, who relived her past life as Suddi during multiple sessions, I asked Suddi about the role of Jesus as the Savior.

The answer I got was more than I bargained for: “How can he die for someone else’s sins? You must all pay for your own. If not this time around, then perhaps the next, or even the next after that. But ultimately, you must endure what you have made others endure because of you,” Suddi lectured.

Because this is such a core belief of Christianity, I had to ask Suddi again to clarify. He responded, “There is a law of Grace that exists. But it is not because he paid for your sins, but because you would accept him as being worthy and perhaps a messenger of God. The law of grace deals with God’s love for you, not because he died for your sins.”

Suddi continued, “Jesus showed that it could be done. Therefore, he is to be marveled at, but not to be worshiped.  Not to be deified, because we are all part of God. Some of us are more aware than others. I would say Jesus is one of these people. To deify him in his own right, separately from others, this is wrong.”

I believe the purpose of the crucifixion was to show a vivid contrast of which path to take. With the incarnation of Jesus, I believe God was offering mankind a choice: to stay on a path of selfishness, or try to pattern our lives after his and rise above the chaos and violence of this world. No one can make that choice for us. Ultimately, we must decide.

In this way, Jesus truly died for mankind. If he had not lived, many would still be groping in the dark without the shining example of his perfect life. I believe the purpose of the resurrection has been lost to many people. God meant to show us there was much more than the physical world; that the spirit or soul is eternal.

Because Jesus attained enlightenment on Earth, he did not need to reincarnate here again. Unlike so many of us who are still learning lessons in life after life and working toward that goal, Jesus became a master. He has provided us with a beautiful example to follow.

The resurrection of Jesus took place to teach us that our souls are eternal—we cannot die.
